ROSE HIPS & RAINDROPS

Block: pine- crafters plaque.
Ink: Guerra - green pigment dispersion w/black neri zumi concentrate sumi paste.
Red: hand-colored pencil.
Paper: Japanese hosho.
Method: Japanese moku hanga.
My waka/tanka poem:
Freezing winds
have taken the last blossoms;
rose hips are waiting
for the touch of warm hands--
scarlet fruit between the thorns.

I happened across your blog and so glad I did...your work is very beautiful. So serene and calm. I can't imagine carving on actual wood, I have just started not too long ago and use the easy to carve stuff..finding it loads of fun and hope to continue on this year. I will come back and check what you have posted often!!
